4. AI platform integrations and agentic commerce
We use Shopify to power our online store. Shopify has introduced functionality that enables products from Shopify stores to be discoverable and purchased through third-party artificial intelligence platforms, including but not limited to AI systems such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and similar AI-powered services (collectively, "AI Platforms"). More information about Shopify's Agentic AI Platforms can be found here: Agentic Storefronts Supplemental Terms of Service - Shopify. In short, Shopify may process personal information necessary to complete purchases and provide store functionality on our behalf.
These capabilities allow customers to voluntarily discover our products and initiate purchases through AI-powered interactions hosted outside of our Services. AI Platforms are operated and controlled by their respective providers. We do not own, operate, train, or control these AI systems. Further, you are not required to interact with an AI Platform to purchase our products. If you voluntarily initiate a purchase through a third-party AI Platform (such as an AI assistant or partner shopping interface), certain information about your order may be shared with that platform to enable the transaction.
Our Services, including Customer Support, may provide interactive or automated support services including an option to chat with our customer service agent powered by our third-party service provider. Our customer support platform may leverage artificial intelligence. By accessing and using any of these features, you agree that we may record and retain a transcript of all communications with you via these interactive tools, and/or may record or recreate your activity while using the Services, in order to provide services or to enhance your customer service experience. We work with our trusted service provider to analyze, store, and/or use this data on our behalf.
